Lions and Monkeys and Lambs, Oh My!
Hiya Flamingo Fans!
Have you ever heard the saying “In like a lion out, like a lamb”? Well, I have a feeling that this March in Halverston and area is gonna be the exact opposite.
It started off quiet and totally not exciting (like a sweet little lamb), with very few kids in trouble. Then before we knew it, we heard “Uh oh! Flamingo!” after “Uh oh! Flamingo!”
Upon further investigation we figured out that there was a very simple reason sooooooo many kids were in trouble: the Warrior Monkey was back and out for revenge!
You’d think that monkey would’ve realized by now that the Captain is unbeatable, but he just keeps trying. (I guess there’s something to be said for persistence.)
And this time, instead of a wedgie war, the Warrior Monkey was sticking gobs of gum in everyone’s hair. It was terrible. Well, okay, when he put some in Ruth Ann’s hair, I laughed. But only a little, because getting gum in your hair really is awful!
But never fear, the Captain saved the day!
Even though the Warrior Monkey had gummed up almost every kid on the street, the Captain managed to use the power of winter to get rid of the Warrior Monkey and save everyone’s hair. Gum freezes in the cold and, apparently, so do monkeys.
So, I think this March it’s going to be in like a lamb and out like a monkey!
